Authorities in Brunswick County have charged a 17-year-old with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle in connection with a wreck that killed one and left seven injured. Local media outlets report 17-year-old Tyrus Johnston of Shallotte died of injuries he suffered in the accident on Holden Beach Road in Supply.

Authorities have released the identities of the teenager who was killed and the seven other people badly hurt in a violent pick-up truck crash in Brunswick County, all of whom were teenagers. According to Trooper Chavis with the NC State Highway Patrol, Tyrus Johnston, 17, of Shallotte was killed in the accident.
